What is Slime?
Slime is safe and is a non-Newtonian fluid. It does not follow Newton’s law and it’s neither liquid nor solid. Slime is made of Elmers glue, borax (mined salt used in contact lens solution) all-natural lotion, pigments, or fragrance oils. Can add various mix ins of charms and toppings. (not made for eating)
Allergies: Sensitive to fragrances, we do not recommend adding scented oils. There is no gluten, dairy, or nuts in our slime kits.
What if I get slime on my clothes and personal belongings?
Slime can be cleaned from most fabrics with vinegar and hot water. Allow vinegar to sit for 30 minutes then wipe away with a towel. Repeat until gone.
How to clean Slime?
Warm water and vinegar and use a soft brush.
How do I care for my Slime?
Keep it away from the heat.
Add lotion if your slime feels tough or rippy. (glycerin)
Store Slime in an airtight container.
Check your Slime regularly.
What is Borax?
A mineral and a component of many detergents, cosmetics, and enamel glazes. It was discovered in the 8th century AD, by dry lad beds in Tibet. The slime substance activates the molecules of the glue, which then stick to each other when mixed with water.
Does Slime have an expiration date?
Slime deteriorates with time, texture, and temperature. Caring for it will require you to store it in a cool place to avoid leaving it in a car and it will turn back into glue.
Is Slime TSA approved?
TSA does consider slime to be liquid and we recommend sealing the item and checking it in with your luggage. Please follow TSA liquid baggage check policy.
